The purpose of an Immigration Psychological Evaluation
Navigating the immigration process can be overwhelming and deeply personal. Whether you’re seeking asylum, applying for a visa, or facing deportation, the process involves not only legal preparation but also emotional resilience. My role is to help ensure that your story, and the psychological impact behind it, is clearly understood and accurately represented. I have years of experience working with youth and adults who have experienced trauma, and specialized training to perform these evaluations.

A psychological evaluation can play an important role in your immigration case. It provides insight into your history, and challenges you’ve faced and the impact on your life, offering the court or immigration authorities a comprehensive picture of your circumstances. These assessments can help to document the emotional impact of trauma, establish hardship, and strengthen the case for relief or protection.

I conduct two in-depth interviews over a secure, confidential videoconferencing platform. The safety, privacy, and comfort of my clients are always my top priorities. During our sessions, I will gather a full history and use standardized assessments to understand your experiences, trauma, and strengths. My goal is to provide a personalized evaluation with clinical objectivity to humanize your story for the court while maintaining the professional neutrality that gives the evaluation credibility.

Evaluations provided:

All clients must reside and be in Massachusetts during our video sessions. If you are working with a lawyer, I will want to speak with the lawyer to understand legal aspects of your case. I work with youth ages 15+ and adults, and am happy to work with a Certified Translator that you provide, if needed.

My evaluations are designed to give clear, professional insight into the emotional and psychological aspects of your immigration case. While these reports can make a real difference in helping your story be understood, there is no guarantee of the outcome of a legal case. Those decisions are always made by immigration officials or the court.

I offer a free, 15-minute phone consultation during the following hours:
